Mih Seon Bahk (Violin)
Mih-Seon Bahk graduated from Keimyung University in Daegu, Korea, and has continnued her studies at Essen Folkwang Musik Hochschule in Germany with Prof. Nana Jaschwili and at Weurzburg Musik Hochschule with Prof. Grigori Zhislin.
She was also mentored by Anne Shih, Denes Zsigmondy, and Viktor Pikayzen. She is a prize-winner of major competitions in Daegu and was awarded the Prize for the best-Performer in East Asia International Contemporary Musik Festival.
As a chamber musician, she has given numerous concerts as a leader of Novus Ensemble for almost 20 years in Daegu.
In 2009, she organized Duo Essen with her husband Chisang Park and they organized and held chamber music concerts with Prof. Anne Shih. They released their CD "For Elise" (2010) and held Duo Essen Recitals
in Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Hall.
She harbors profound knowledge and experience as an educator as a faculty member of Keimyung University and Andong National University since 2004. (Andong 2004~2007)
From 2007 to 2008, she was a professor of Daegu educational institute for art-gifted students, and from 2007 to 2021, she taught as a professor of Keymyung-F. Chopin Academy of Music in Daegu, Korea.
Since 2021, She got promoted to the position of a Violin Professor in Keimyung University. She is currently the concertmaster of Sonore string chamber orchestra.
