Musiktage am Rhein ist ein internationales Festival, in dem junge talentierte Nachwuchsmusiker, junge Profimusiker und schon etablierte, renommierte Künstler der klassischen Musik aus über 25 Ländern gemeinsam musizieren.
Während zwei Wochen findet ein Meisterkurs statt, dessen Teilnehmer, in Zusammenarbeit mit den Künstlern, bei einer Reihe von Konzerten mitwirken, die das musikalische Angebot der Region um Neuwied-Engers bereichern.

During this musical experience, New York iSchool students will have the privilege of studying with European masters of music. Students will play in a variety of ensembles, including classical and rock ensembles. They’ll be conjoined with music mentors who will inspire and assist in practice for performing in concerts at historic, breathtaking venues.

Welcome to Germany!
Germany or middle Europe is at the center of European classical music. It is here that the masterpieces of Bach, Beethoven, Haendel, Strauss, Brahms and many others were born. Here lies the roots of the greatest musical genre.
Possibly the combination of many aspects of German culture together with individual spirit produced the large number of great composers.
However, one must also give a nod to the Rhine River’s importance as muse to artists, poets, writers and musicians alike, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Beethoven was indeed born in Bonn on the Rhine, and the river’s mystical romanticism inspired composers such as Wagner, Schumann, Mendelssohn and Brahms.
"Musiktage Am Rhein" brings you to the heart of classical music, with an unique European cultural and musical experience not to be missed for a young artist.

Deutschland oder Mitteleuropa ist das Zentrum sowie die Wurzel der westlichen klassischen Musik. Hier wurden die Meisterwerke von Beethoven, Bach, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Strauss und vielen mehr erschaffen.
Die Vielfalt deutscher Kultur, gepaart mit individuellem Erfindungsreichtum, ist verantwortlich für die große Vielfalt an deutschen Komponisten.
Auch die Natur ist wichtiger Bestandteil der künstlerischen Inspiration. Besonders im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert gilt der Rhein als Muse für Künstler und Musiker, Schriftsteller und Poeten. Die romantische Ausstrahlung des Stroms inspirierte Komponisten wie Wagner, Schumann, Mendelssohn und Brahms. Beethoven selbst wurde selbst in Bonn am Rhein geboren.
